The consoles are made at TSMC, they have BGA substrates, they are already shipped 10's of thousands of units, if there is a supply issue why is it unique to AMD and why only discrete GPU's and not consoles?

We ain't getting any Asus cards, but everyone else will be fine, Asus finds excuses...
Because supply chains are complex and if you have a particular supplier lined up say for a BGA substrate for your GPUs and an issue occurs with that particular supplier, say reducing supply and you're not first on their priority and other suppliers don't have capacity to meet your need.... I can't imagine consoles prioritised over all other customers.
You're left with an issue on your product, not the entire industry...

There is no source as to who the supplier is, what the issue is and why they are having a problem.
There is no data as to what the shortage pertains to.
There is no data as to what orders were and were not filled.
Complied that along with knowing there is more then just one supplier...who wasn't named specifically to work with AMD.
It's not hard to figure out it's just FUD. It's just a random statement being made with no merit or insight to back it up. One has to critically think to remind one's self that you alleged that he gave specific information about RDNA 2 before release. Yet, can't do the same with the BGA substrate. Therefore, the obvious conclusion remains the same. It's not true.

Again you're assuming supply issue means complete capacity hit, so therfore all products in line with that supply affected. Beyond a complete disaster or shut down. Unlikely.
Again, they are the same supplier. AMD make about 6 different types of products and most of the require BGA substrates.

Anyway just passing on some info to you chaps, hilarious how defensive some of you are being though. Especially when its a source from a very pro AMD Discord of a known leaker who is also pro AMD, would be bizarre for them to post something negative about AMD. Especially when they've leaked info earlier before which has been solid.

I am BGA substrate supplier. I supply all of TSMCs BGA substrate for AMD PS5, Xbox Series X and AMD GPUs. I have an issue, the supply i can give is hit by x%.... What product likely loses out and is most hit by that, the consoles which will be seen as tier 1 priority with ironclad agreements with AMD and TSMC or AMDs dGPUs.
You don't think MLID is pretty pro AMD? Most of the OCUK forum do whenever he posts something. I wouldn't say bias but he definitely wants a big win for them, his disord members are pretty much the same...
