I'm a huge honda fanboy. EK9 residuals are mental, absolutely insane. Same as DC2's.
It doesn't make any sort of sense other than having OMG AWESOME VTEC LAWLS (which, as a previous s2000 owner for 3 years I agree is amazing on the right road/track/etc) paying double for an older car with less stuff.
IMO, if I was getting a DC2 or ITR I'd want as close to a 1 owner, low mile, totally immaculate standard example as I could find. I'd then keep it absolutely stock apart from maybe using mugen parts for tuning, keeping originals when I came to sell. These cars are even more hillariously priced (6-8k for a DC2 like that I'd imagine?)
They are great fun cars, but you can't honestly go for one over a 172/182 without accepting it is slightly crazy paying more money... therefore you wont ever sell one quickly.
