Hi,

I have been playing Total War games since the original Rome Total War and almost every Total War since. One of TW's main benefits are the mods availble for them. These can dramatically improve the experience and fix bugs of pretty much every game that was actually not fixed by the developers. I always play these games co-op with a friend but am wondering.....what is your favourite TW game with mod's. Whether single player or co-op? I found a lot of the games, with co-op once you got to a certain point it was just too easy. A lot of this was down to co-op not allowing you to change difficulty settings for battles in co-op but you know.....mods.

So for the experienced out there. What do you recommend? Any peferct TW experience? Does it work in co-op? All of your ideas appreciated!

Screw it giving this a bump. Warhammer 3 is still popular so there must be some Total War fans still about.

I am still looking for mods designed for co-op that increase the required difficulty. Still can't believe many years later that choosing the battle and campaign difficulty separately is still not about!

Try SFO Grimhammer mod, end of first turn you can choose a custom difficulty. It’s friendly with achievements. Pretty sure it’s compatible with Old World mod as well.

Imperium Surrectum (Rome), Stainless Steel (Medieval). 1212 AD, Ancient Empires (Atilla) There's one or two good LOTR mods for TW titles as well.

Your best bet is to search YT for videos about TW mods, there's loads.
