OK so based on this thread I think it's time to have it out

Are you a Marmite man or a Vegimite person... or are you a heathern that hates both!

For me it's all about the Vegimite - smoother taste and less mess around the jar

Both are horrible. Marmite is a good ingredient for some things though (e.g. gravy).

Not tried Vegimite so it's a vote for Marmite from me. Love it on hot buttered toast, in a gravy/stew and even a small amount of it on a knife and drawn through scrambled egg is really nice.

Bovril makes a cracking hot drink just with boiling water. For some added winter warmth (well to be honest, anytime), a dash of Harvey's Bristol Cream goes very well.

Also makes a great cheat gravy. Flour, oil, water & bovril.
And also on toast like marmite, but unlike marmite it actually has a nice taste.

Marmite is my favourite, will occasionally get Vegemite or Bovril for a change though.

Haha. Reminds me of that marmite advert a few years back. Basically had a Marmite blob monster rampaging through town and half the people were running screaming from it, while the other half were running towards it and eating it.

Guess you really do either love it or hate it. :rolleyes:

Marmite for me, Love it!... Vegemite isn't nice.
