Tell us something we don't know, so seeing as the UN has accused the EU of it's own failings why can't the people responsible (Merkel) be held to account?

http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=53341#.VtW2rJyLTWI

"1 March 2016 – Europe faces an imminent humanitarian crisis, largely of its own making, following a rapid build-up of people in already over-stretched Greece, the United Nations refugee agency warned today."

Merkel unilaterally inviting the whole of Syria to join them in Germany (but then demanding the burden be shared) didn't really help matters.

These people are not migrants due to the EU but directly as a result of their home nations failing.

not really - that is perhaps true in the case of Syrians and Iraqis but not necessarily for the rest - it is actually more down to things improving in their home nations and them having the ability to make the journey

and there is some blame to be put on Merkel at least for actively encouraging people to come

Comprehension fail. The humanitarian crisis resulting from the flow of refugees is largely EU's own fault.

Secondly, Britain is part of the EU, whether you like it or not. Feeling like it's not your problem?

Thridly, easy to point the finger when you're not the ones having to actually deal with the crisis.

Well that's me told

1: Isn't that humanitarian crisis part of the migration problem?

2: Show me where i have said we are not part of the EU.

3: I don't recall our government inviting them all to the UK or anywhere else in the EU.

It would be pretty hard not to fail having sustained an attack from NATO, the eu could have said whoa your plans are what when UKUSA first mooted them and put a stop to them via persuasion or simply letting the cat out of the bag to the countries about to be destroyed.

Instead the eu went along with the stupid gang and now they're paying the price.

Part of EU or not, it's not our problem. Your sentence sums up how ridiculous the EU is becoming. Merkal and her cronies (the leader of Germany...not the UK) makes one of the worst political moves Europe has seen in decades then other EU countries are expected to clean up her mess.

1. It's not NATO.
2. Syria was failing for years before the current bombing campaign started.
3. Syria knew it was about to be bombed, it wasn't a surprise and the knowledge doesn't stop anything, and in fact has been happening with tacit support of the government there.
And the government of Iraq asked for help. Which is the result of the bombing campaign there.

everything in your post lacks a grounding in reality or even a basic understanding of the actions you're talking about.

Another one for you:

"Europe is "on the cusp of a largely self-induced humanitarian crisis" because of a rapid build-up of migrants on Greece's borders, the UN has warned."

So stop dragging your face along your keyboard and clicking post, thanks.

The UN hates the west and wants to see it destroyed - they'll side with Merkel and think every nation should admit 5 million so-called refugees and begin the cultural enrichment process.

Do you know why the UN think there is a problem?

They are all for helping refugees and are criticising the administration and coordination on the matter.

Not the fact the EU has welcomed refugees.

Firebats. This problem can be very easily solved with Firebats. We just need loads of Vespene Gas, I'll get the SCVs on the case.

And the administration and coordination whether that be good or bad is still a direct result of them all being welcomed, no?

And so is all the crap that has come with them.

I do recall Merkel inviting them in, now it is a European problem. There again Germany with Merkel at the helm do seem to believe they are firmly in charge of Europe so I guess it is a European problem now.

But other counties are starting to close the borders, so Germany have a problem
