This is a great game (playing PC version). One of my favourites this year. There is a bit on top of the Washington Tower when you look down on the city, this bit looks fantastic, especially on a 40" LCD at 1920x1080 maxed out.
It's like a fusion of Oblivion (RPG) + Resistance: Fall of Man (atmosphere) + The Darkness (whole underground trekking, which I admit is one of the negative points for me)
I must admit I find it quite easy to kill people with that "auto" aim system, I didn't even realise about it until well into the game. I can see why people find it boring at the start because it is quite mundane, but when you get into it, get proper weapons etc it's great fun.

had to start again and build some levels on side quests for additional weapon skill just to be able to hit the super mutants a bit further on, and they are still really tough
(also have combat shotgun which is nice
- but im struggling to get any ammo for weapons in this game - are you supposed to find them lying around?)
I havent even managed to find/purchase 250 rounds yet let alone 2500. Where exactly did you find all this ammo
