Take it you focused on the Main Quest rather than getting distracted by the Misc Quests?

I think I got to around 20 and realized I'd better concentrate on the main quest a little more, otherwise I may be here for a while ;) The end came kinda quick after that.

Spoilerish - I would say if you don't want to finish quickly, don't pursue the main quest from the Citadel once you make it in there.

Where is the dude who will teach you how to wear power armor? Apparently he is in the lab, but i cannae find a lab

Can you play the whole game in 3rd person mode ? as i dont get along with FPS (motion sickness an all :()

same here - im not a huge fan of FPS on a console but in Fallout 3 you can play in 3rd person mode no problem Can also zoom in and out of the 3rd person mode so you can choose the kind of view you have (close to character or far out) - its pretty good :)

hi

can anyone help me with a few things , im trying to play this game as a good guy and i need to know the following-

whats the best way to make money?

does my character have to sleep ?

also does anyone know where i can find some clean water?

thanks for any help:)

Best way I've found so far to make easy money is whenever you run into raiders, take ALL their armour, repair them down into 1-3 sets of armour in pretty good repair and sell that. Same with Talon Company, who if you're playing as a good guy, you WILL run into, and OFTEN!

Bash the lot of them, repair their armour down into one or two sets, flog that on. Same with weapons. I take EVERY weapon I come across, then every now and then repair them down into a good few. That way you can carry more and they can be worth a few caps. Just always repair every multiple item you can down into less, more valuable stuff. If I get over encumbered I just start dropping stuff, but if I don't, I've usually got a few hundred caps worth of stuff on me when I finish whatever it is I'm doing to flog on and/or keep the best of it even if I've just been out wandering around.

Sleeping's the best way to get your health back, I pretty much sleep in every bed I can even if it's just an hour :D

As for clean water, **** it. I just drink from anywhere, including toilets. Radiation poisoning hasn't presented much worry to me really, there's enough Rad-X and Radaway kicking about to stop or cure any radiation poisoning I ever get. Plus since I did a certain job for someone even Advanced Radiation Poisoning isn't really a worry for me at all. Just Radaway it if you get poisoned, I've never run out of Rad-X and Radaway, ever.

Minor Spoiler, highlight:

Once you get the house in Megaton your butler robot thing will dish out Purified water as well but I always give it to the poor buggers outside towns.

bump up your stats with drugs - mentats, buffout etc. Also you grabbed the +5 science and the +5 repair +5 lockpick lab and utility coats from vault 101 yeah?

Only problem with drugs is i get addicted to them waaay too fast :( So i have to go all the way back to megaton to get cured every time. Why cant you just go cold turkey if you're addicted? ie sleep for 48 hours or smt.

i'm playing through this as a good guy aswell. about 30 hours in, only level 10

i'm exploring most of the time and pickup most of the stuff laying about, selling everything i dont use including all food. i've done all the side quests from megaton and a few main quests.

- pre-war books go for 100 bottle tops each at the library
- 2x scrap metal i trade for a stimpack with the outcasts (can have other stuff instead though)

it's worth having the perk that make you find more bottle tops when exploring - find 80 odd at a time every now and then. and also the perk that lets you carry more stuff, i can carry 270 at the moment.

i've got all the worthwhile upgrade's in the house (coke machine, workbench, lab & health thing), got loads of everything for all the weapons you build, only have the plans for 3 so far. loads of caps/drugs/stimpacks/ammo/guns etc.. it's going good :)

i wasnt sure if i'd like this game as i dont normally play rpg's, but i'm addicted, lol - excellent game! :D
