Hi,

Recently had the second PC in the house die (I suspect HDD failure). It's donkey years old and pretty much used to play old games. At first I thought I'd just buy a new HDD etc but I've got that upgrade feeling.

System I have at the moment I built myself in early 2011 and have only upgraded the GPU since so currently its:

Fractal R3 silent mid tower
AMD Phenom II x6 1100T
8GB Corsair RAM
GeForce 670 2GB
80GB Intel X25 SSD
640GB WD Caviar Black HDD

Now this system works lovely still, but you know when you get a hankering to build another system because you can? Obviously I'd want to build one that's better than what I've got.

I like the look of the Corsair Carbide 540 cube case and it seems like a breeze to build in. I am considering a system using an Intel 4670K and using the same GPU. In terms of an upgrade path would this even worth considering or am I just being stupid and letting the PC building itch get the better of me?
