Can someone please offer advice on batteries? Currently have two pairs of LG HG2 which are not holding charge long, they are a year old and get some hammer.

What batteries would be best for an Alien Smok running about 70-90W please?

Are you 100% sure the hg2's you have are genuine? Was quite a few counterfeit ones about a while back, iirc mooch rated the fakes around 2000mah 10A.

Either way, HG2, 30Q or vtc6. 30Q's are usually the cheapest, check out fogstar, they'll have them for around £6 a cell.

Compared to? I know RBAs are better, but I am way too lazy for that, and my Smok is more flavourful than my Crown v1 or standard Cleito.

I've been finding the flavour from the tfv4 mini seems to be better than the v8. The coils seem to be a bit more hit and miss now :(

Tbh building your own coils always seems to render better flavour regardless of format if you make a decent one, although the smok stuff is defo up there amongst the better prebuilt coil options.

I'll confess to being thoroughly converted to the rda now, much easier building than tanks as you only really worry about one end of the wick.

I've well and truly gone off my aspire cleito120 tank, mainly due to the fact that the coils are prohibitively expensive, pack of 5 coils are around £20.

Whereas with my rda and my other tanks, I just build my own coils or get pre-made clapton coils for about £20 which gives me around 20 coils.

Problem with cleito120, I'm lucky to get a weeks use out of them if I'm lucky.

Don't get me wrong the cleito120 tank is awesome for flavour and clouds but my rda is blowing it out of the water along with my combo rdta tank.

I've given up on both the cloud beast and cleito, like you say getting very fed up with paying the high prices for coils. Been using my limitless classic rdta for the last week, using a hell of a lot less juice, flavour is spot on. And get to enjoy building my own coils. Have locked down doing twisted and parallel coils, new drill on order and can then make a start on some claptons.

Check out myepack, you could get something like the koopor 200w for under £30, or one of the kanger 50w mod kits for £25...

Thanks for that.
I forgot to order last night and now need something local.
Is the Xcube 2 any good?
Its for sale locally for £50

Honestly I don't usually vape higher than 25 watts so not too bothered about higher range.
Would appreciate if you could pick one out from here

I been using the cloud beast for the past 3 weeks, its amazing on clouds and flavor. But you are right it drinks juice for fun. But the coil is going strong so far. But I might end up making my own juices at this rate.

Thanks for the recipe mate, yet to try Lemon Tart in any shape or form. Dont think I was clear in my post. I mean I was using the site to try the flavours before I bought actual flavour concentrate, i.e. CAP, FA etc, not their premix concentrates. Yet to learn the finer differences between CAP, FA et al, but unserstand some are stronger, some versions are better than others etc. Read some good guides over on Reddit but not enough to help me make decisions without recipes, but will happily begin playing around swapping out and changing recipes as I see fit once I get a taste for them all, such as the strawberries and creams etc.

Riiiiiiiiight...

I think you're looking too hard into this in all honesty, mate.

1) Go on Vaping Underground (http://vapingunderground.com/forums/diy-e-liquid-recipes.50/)
2) Find a recipe you like the sound of, ideally using all FA concentrates.
3) Buy supplies & concentrates needed.
4) Mix 100ml of said recipe for pittance
5) Find another recipe, rinse & repeat.

I fail to see how buying some of their ready made juice is going to be a better way of trying out flavours, haha.

Get HICs tasting notes from his website for free, that has every single FA concentrate, free of course: http://www.hicsmixes.com/notes-etc.html

Personally I'd go with the koopor mini 60w they have for £37, rest of there stock is either but pricey or out dated. They do have a couple of DNA devices though if you feel like splashing out a bit, the Theron gets great reviews.

Hi,

Looking for a bit of advice on batteries please,

I've got a Wismec Reuleaux RX2/3 on order, so looking at buying a couple of new batteries, will the Samsung 30Q be ok?

Ecolux recommend a max load of 55watts, i'm not sure what I'll be vaping at, but if i'm using two batteries, would this increase to 110 wats, or would 55w still be my limit?

Cheers. I wrote that one off as it doesn't support SS wire in TC mode.

So I couldn't make it into town today so looks like I'm back to ordering today for next day delivery.

Personally I think the VTC mini is ideal and am looking for a replacement that is very similar...I wouldn't mind it taking 2 batteries though but not a deal breaker by any means.

The evic primo is the two cell version of the vtc mini ;)

I think ecigone have it in stock for £50...

Ended up ordering from myepack:
Koopor plus 200w in red (not my colour of choice but only one in stock and a tenner cheaper than the white one)
Velocity RDA clone
Also ordered another VTC mini from Gearbest as I think the VTC mini is a great all rounder especially for £26 atm.

Yes those batteries will be fine, I had one of those wismec reuleaux mod but got rid of it as I didn't really like it. And with those batteries I could go to 100 watts but at 100 watts, it gets very hot ie your tank and coils.

Just make sure your tank/rda or coils can handle high watts.

Using those same batteries on my dna200 mod, I usually vape at 80watts no problem. Any higher and it becomes too hot my rda/tanks.

Cheers, probably wont be going any where near those power levels, just didnt want the batteries limiting me too much.

I've gone for an OBS Engine to go with it, so probably try out a few different builds.

How come you didnt like it? All the reviews seem very positive

The Reuleaux is a great mod but is too heavy for a carry-around for me. I've got 3 different versions, the RX200, the RX200S and the DNA200 version. I like them all but they stay at home on my desk.
VTC Minis and iStick Picos are my daily drivers.

It's not that I didn't like it, the one I had wouldn't fire and kept saying check atomiser. So I took it back to where I got it from and got a lost vape triade dna200 mod, which is pretty much the same as the rx2/3 but with a dna200 chip.
But like the rx2/3 it's heavy to carry round so I've got a smoktech G Priv mod on order from Fasttech, which is a 2 battery mod.

Probably sell my triade once I get that.

I got around 9 months out of mine, then it started thinking a charger was plugged in all the time :(. Not a bad time scale really, it as my daily beater and it was pretty beaten up! Lasted longer then my boxer 160, the fire button fell off after around 10 weeks.
