I have not looked into the new rulings to much but was aware they were coming in.
To me this seems crazy, surely its safer to the average Joe like me to buy what ever size bottle of pre mixed liquid rather than having to a deal with separate bottles of much higher nicotine concentrates which I then need to handle and dispose of safely.

Yeah, guess the logic was to push people away from cloud chucking, but theres too many loopholes and sadly i fear not the greatest understanding of that aspect of vaping.
Yeah, got one recently paired with a serpent mini, pretty handy wee mod and decent enough spec wise (although like many mods i'm dubious of maximum output).
Cant speak for longevity, will let you know when i've blown it up
Got two of them. They are my daily-driver mods and have been in constant use since I bought them back in June last year. Still going strong.
God damn it, another £22 spent, but my god are all the juices I've gotten so far good!
Yep, I have 3 mods in rotation and couldn't recommend them enough;
- 3x Serpent Minis
- 3x Pico's
Love the things, and with a .75~ coil @ 18-22w, the thing will last all day with ease! With that said, if I up to 24w it'll run out of battery mid-evening. But I vape like a trooper!
My only gripe is a combination of having such a small chimney + juices with sweetener in, whilst the flavour is fantastic, some juices I need to change the coil after 2 days, with other however they'll last a good 5/6 days with no bad taste.
Really tempted by an AL85 + Serpent 25mm though for some extra capacity, and the AL85/SMOK products in general are apparently very good with mangaing the battery life (please correct me if I'm wrong guys, I've never used a SMOK product before
)Nice one. I'm about 6 weeks into not smoking. I did buy 60 more smokes though the other day but as soon as they are finished I'm back on the vaping full time. It didn't feel as bad as I thought it would. I just need to keep strong and not revert back to smoking in the mean time. I wish you luck with your efforts
I have all the kit (and I mean lots of kit) but just can't get into vaping full time - I don't know why! I have MTL stuff as well as high Ohm tanks etc.
iStick Pico is great, I've had mine for almost a year and it's still going strong but I've just ordered the Smok AL85 which is very similar to the Pico, but it has the board from the Smok Alien and can fit 25mm atties which the Pico can't. Can't say how it'll hold up long term but worth a look.

It is a bit weird. I still don't know what I am doing when it comes to vaping. It seems like a very complex subject and I don't really understand it all but I have the kit I need and I'm saving money from smoking so that is the main thing. How about you work out how much you have saved from not smoking and then buy yourself something nice at the end of every week? That might motivate you?
I also found that finding the right liquids is important. If you find one that tastes awful then you will not enjoy vaping as much. I went to my local vape store and got some help there and bought 5 30ml bottles of assorted liquids and they were all really nice. They were pretty helpful.
Just as an aside how do you know if your coils need changing? I've been vaping for a week and a bit with TFV8 Baby Beast tank and a Smok Alien 220W mod. I've been using the same liquids the whole time. When I first installed the tank the liquids tasted great but the more I've used the tank the taste has got worse and worse. Is this because the coil needs changing? It is literally the same bottle of liquid so it can't have changed in the week I have had it.
Then the coil needs changing if its tasting worse than original.
Those pre built coils on the baby beast won't last long, maybe a week or so at best.
What I recommend you do is to learn how to build your own coils, far cheaper and more fun.
Buy yourself a rebuildable tank and make your own coils. Something like the wotofo serpent mini would be a good start.

I followed it at the time. Things have changed in the years since the TPD was voted in. Firstly there was little understanding of vaping by the MEPs and vaping was fringe then, not the massive thing it is now. It was sort of just added to the bigger tobacco directive. We tried getting our MEPs to vote against the vaping bit (there was some kind of article or something I forget was years ago) that would have stopped the vaping bits. The one MEP we really had on our side said that vote had been sneaked in and most of the MEPs didn't know what they were voting on. The whole thing also taught me that the UK doesn't take voting for MEP seriously like say Germany does. Lots of one issue MEPs we had.

Flavour gets bad, and if you disassemble it and look at the wires you can see crud accumulating.
Different juices will kill coils at different rates, as will the coil quality. Sweeter juices especially premium american flavours can kill a coil in a day, but get clean juice and a good coil and itll last months.
Tbh most prebiult coils go really ott with wicking, if you get good at building your own the difference is night and day in terms of flavour and longevity. Plus when building your own you can just re-wick after dry burning the crud off the coil so its not like you need to twist new wire every time.
I tend to find when building that spaced (gaps between the coils) last longer, and dont require nearly as much faffing to get even glow.

. I'll change the coil to the spare one I have in the pack then when I've finished off this tanks worth as I don't want to waste liquid. I'll look into building my own coils although I'm not really a practical man . I tried to put a shelf up once. It didn't end well 
.Ah. I see. I've been using some sweeter juices so that is probably what the problem is then. I've subscribed to Vape Mail so I have my stash of liquids already. I'll do some YouTube searching on the whole making your own coils and see what I can find. As I said above I'm not really a very practical person so it might be beyond my skills.
I really started vaping to give up smoking not to get into it in a big way although I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos about vaping so I can see how it gets interesting.

Np, building your own coils isnt hard per say, grab yourself a coil master kit and a small bench vice you'll be flying.
The hard part is knowing things like how much tension there should be on the wick, which is really hard to explain outside of practical demonstration.
Just be prepared the first few times its not gonna end up so good, and allow for wasting wire and wicks messing it up

Much like you I started with the Alien & Baby Beast, A week on the pre-installed cail you say? yes they need changing.
I went out and bought some fancy ones, some of them did'nt last more than a day or so and the tank capacity I found is naff. I then moved on to the Aspire Cleito tank (a friend donated it to me), I found the flavour to be better than the Baby Beast, air flow was also much better, The Cleito coils lasted longer but not by much. Constantly having to buy those coils was a pain.
Decided enough was enough and after a little research bought a Wotofo Troll RTA. Man, what amazing flavour. Been using the same coil for 2 weeks, all I did was change the wick every 3-4 days or so.
It's also very easy to build on, had a couple of leaks @ first, but I worked my build out now, so all good.
I'm never going back to pre-built crap.
Been a long month for me. I've just ordered an Anarchia Puma mod & a Hadaly RDA. Waiting for the Pharaoh RTA to be available in the UK seems interesting

Just told ecigwarehouse where to go, had an order in for a rainbow tfv12 for 10 days now, emailed them today asking where it was as the website is showing it in stock only to get the reply that they don't know when its going to be in stock and they dont have any!
On top of that they've reduced it by £3 since last week but instead of giving me the money back wanted to give me cotton instead.
Going to use somewhere else as they were just happy to let me pay more for a non-existent product. Absolute joke.
