The vending machine problem.

Today,I experienced the wrath of a faulty vending machine.
I inserted my assets into the vending machine and it dispensed an excessive amount of beverages, I was greeted with 4X the beverages that I payed for.
I decided that it was appropriate to distribute half of the profit to the nearest people and I contacted the relevant authority to deal with the said faulty vending machine.

So GD, what would you do? Would you reap all the profits or would you distribute them to other people?

So how would you put the items back? Just leave them in the dispenser shelve? Or would you hang around until someone comes and investigates after you duly notified them (probably never) and hand them back?

Empty the machine of everything then set up a tuck shop (preferably next to broken machine) and assuming it gave you x4 of everything you'd make some money.

Go to the person who serves the lunch in the canteen and give it to them to return.

I know it's only a few items from a vending machine but I hate the feeling of taking things for nothing.

Keep the goods. Everybody who uses vending machines on a regular basis knows that it all pans out in the end. Sometimes you get bonus stuff, sometimes it steals your money or the snack gets stuck.

Over the past few months my works vending machine has eaten my money twice and failed to dispense my snack once. However, I've had bonus crisps on one occasion, and two lots of change that people had left in the coin return tray. I just go with the flow, baby.
