The vending machine problem.

I'd empty the machine and set up an impromptu shop beside said machine offering slightly discounted goods.

Me and a friend were flying back from Amsterdam a few months back we were waiting to board the plane and my friend was thirsty so went over to a vending machine.

The price was listed as being 0.0p for a bottle of water so he gave that a try and true to its word it was a free bottle of water. He came back and told me but we were overheard by one person who then followed me to the vending machine and asked me about the free bottle of water, so we both return to the queue with our free bottle of water and he tells his family, other people hear and it spreads like Chinese whispers.

Was pretty funny just watching people walk over to the vending machine in a shifty way and returning with a free bottle of water.

When they put bars of chocolate up from 50 to 55 in ours at work the messed up and put one at 5p....it got emptied out 4 or 5 times before they noticed it ;)

Go to the person who serves the lunch in the canteen and give it to them to return.

I know it's only a few items from a vending machine but I hate the feeling of taking things for nothing.

What makes you think there's a canteen nearby and that somebody serving lunch in the said canteen is responsible for the vending machine?

Anyway, the OP - well I've had enough money stolen by vending machines over the years that I'd be able to sleep soundly at night if one were to make an error in my favour.

depends what it was dispensing

If it was chocolate bars, crisps and drinks then I would share. If it was dispensing £20 notes, diamonds or gold bars then I would keep them all

Today,I experienced the wrath of a faulty vending machine.
I inserted my assets into the vending machine and it dispensed an excessive amount of beverages, I was greeted with 4X the beverages that I payed for.
I decided that it was appropriate to distribute half of the profit to the nearest people and I contacted the relevant authority to deal with the said faulty vending machine.

So GD, what would you do? Would you reap all the profits or would you distribute them to other people?

Fire Extinguisher through the glass, and then replace the products

I did this last year. Posted about it here.

12 cans for the price of one. Had to use my coat as a makeshift bucket to carry them all :D
