The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones

Walking Dead for me, got a bit dull in the second series. Game of Thrones is brilliant though, make sure to watch Fringe if you havent seen it.
 
Walking dead got quite dull mid-way through season 2 for me and I stopped watching it (felt like it was treading water and not really moving along), but season one was very good.

Game of thrones was the opposite, season 2 started off a bit meh after how good season 1 was but about mid way through its picked up again and I'm enjoying it.
 
Game of Thrones is much better IMO. As robj20 says, The Walking Dead gets a bit dull in the second series.


I recently watched Homeland, and Breaking Bad. These are two great shows if you've not seen them.
 
I'd rather watch game of thrones with two seasons from the start rather than having to put up with long slow episodes, small seasons and long wait!

Lucky you is all i can say :p
 
walking dead gets teribad pretty quickly.

almost nothing note worthy happen for the whole of season 2 until the last episode..... :rolleyes:

Hopefully they won't make the same mistakes in season 3. Like the fact they had barely any zombies for most of the season, as it would be nice to have a few more zombies in a show called the walking dead :p

The Wire - watched the first series and it just didn't grab me. I can't bring myself to watch any more of it because the first series was so unmemorable that I'd be instantly lost :p

Check out Breaking Bad, seriously. Dexter and The Shield don't come close.

I'm not knocking the quality of The Shield, Battlestar Galactica, The Sopranos. I've watched them all and very much enjoyed them, thought they were outstanding shows; you have to include The Wire with that list too.

I'd be tempted to add another few shows as well; Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Boardwalk Empire, Rome ... [insert more here]

I am of the opinion however that The West Wing for it's first ~4 seasons is unparalled in terms of quality; the rest of the show (half way through five through to seven) is at least as good as some of the others mentioned.

Dexter is brilliant, but I don't think it's quite as good as the others mentioned, I enjoy it hugely though, it's a brilliant concept.

A Game of Thrones is a really quality show too.

The Walking Dead however, leaves a lot to be desired, first season had some really good moments, but I found it slightly 'meh' over all. Not in the same class.

This is all my opinion, I'm posting after a drink too; so I'm not sure why I've written such a lengthy reply. There are probably many other shows I've missed out haha!
 
Game of Thrones is probably my favourite TV show, recently watched The Walking Dead, thought it was ok, but not the best, would echo the rest of the comments in the thread and say watch Breaking Bad.
