The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones

lol wut.. dexter is one of the best tv series of all time but takes a few eps to get into

First season is very good; brilliant.

It becomes more 'enjoyable' then brilliant though. I love it and I'm rewatching it at the minute, but c'mon, to compare the writting/production/overall package of Dexter to The West Wing or Boardwalk Empire, lol.

walking dead gets teribad pretty quickly.

almost nothing note worthy happen for the whole of season 2 until the last episode.....

There is a video out and about that explains about three seasons worth of BSG in the space of 8 or so minutes.

There should be one for the Walking Dead...

Seriously, you could just watch the season 2 premiere, mid season cliffhanger and the finale and you would have watched 99% of the important stuff.

Still don't know why the wire gets so much hype, nothing wrong with it but completely can't see why people rave about it.

Dexter was a good concept but only the first season really pulled it off, after that they stopped taking risks with it and it became predictable.

Need to give west wing and breaking bad more time, watched the first episode of both and neither grabbed me (can't really see myself watching either tho).

How much have you watched of the wore ? I reckon it's hard to get into the story, but once you do it's amazing

Walking Dead s the best show I've seen in a while.

I didn't know it was created from graphic novels until a bloke who works at Forbidden Planet told me and I started reading them. Excellent.

Walking Dead has managed about 5 good episodes out of two seasons, it's pretty poor.

I will however watch them all as I loved the comics and i'm curious how they deal with the next stage of the story, it should get very dark.

First 2 seasons, it was pretty watchable but I didn't see anything ground breaking or worthy of the hype it gets and after 2nd season it seemed to be pretty much going over the same ground just a different setting.

I've not see the graphic novel but I get the feeling its tried to stay trueish to the comic and possibly pays off in the long term once they've got the build up out the way but its quite boring getting through the build up - from what I've seen so far they'd have been better served making season 2 a 3 part mini-series it could have been told quite efficently in 2-3 hours and kept it interesting.

If you fancy it Hell on Wheels on TCM is pretty good.

Got a feeling hell on wheels has like many series shot its bolt early quite interesting so far but I can't see it not getting stale pretty soon now.

They've actually ignored a lot of the comic and gone in their own direction, much to the detriment of the show.

However the final few minutes of season 2 does give me hope they can get it back on course.

Echo the comments about Walking Dead S2, we gave up around the point at which they had just uncovered [spoiler edit: something in the place they were staying at], maybe about 6eps in? I don't necessary mind plot build ups but it did seem to be unnecessarily slow, S1 at 6 eps ticked along nicely, it felt like they could have crammed those 5-6 eps at the start of S2 into say 3-4 eps?

it was because some tard website decided to flag the whole of blueyonder.co.uk as infected and my sig was hosted on my isp webspace there

breaking bad more time, watched the first episode of both and neither grabbed me
tok me a few eps to get into it and the missus who watched it after i recommended it was the same

I heard that the reason season two of Walking Dead was so slow was because the budget was cut and they couldn't afford to do anything spectacular.

Hopefully they raise the budget, go back to the comics and follow those because then it will become amazing. Although it probably won't happen as it's not cheery ;)

p.s. Breaking Bad, Sopranos and The Wire. You need to be watching those shows!
