Been to Atlanta a few times in the last years, the company i work for is based in Columbus, 80 miles south of Atlanta. Seems like a nice enough city. Not a great deal to Columbus though.

Surely any building roof with a secure fire escape would be the best place to hide?

The call centre I work has massive glass windows all over the place, even if the place was over-run with zombies the roof would still be safe, as far as I'm aware zombies can't climb ladders

What would you do for supplies and long term survivability?

The buildings got plenty of water coolers and the kitchen cooks daily for 300+ staff. Not to mention it's within walking distance of a Tesco lol

On The Walking Dead they can (1st season). In the 2nd season they can also teleport and move silently like the wind.

Ah but you said if the building was overrun then you would escape to the roof. If the building was full of zombies then gaining access to the water coolers and kitchen could be very difficult and also getting to the Tesco!

In the 1st season when Rick escapes with Glen onto the roof in Atlanta they think they are safe but then they look down the fire escape and see zombies climbing up. Also, a zombie threw a rock through a window when they where in the mall in a later episode, which I thought was rather unusual for a zombie.

True, I'd probably have to raid the Burgerking, KFC and other restaurants before the infection spread too much lol
