US: **The Walking Dead Season 11 - Contains Spoilers - No future content to be discussed **

This show was all over the place and there were some boring characters that I couldn't care for so I forwarded those scenes.

So they decided right at the end to have abnormal zombies!? This should have been introduced way back. What the heck was the helicopter scene all about?

Yeah, i think the writers had been smoking a bit of wacky backy and playing some zombie video games like Days Gone and decided, wait! why did we not think about introducing evolving zombies? For years and years (Over 12 years in Walking Dead universe, over 2 shows) they have never once changed from the normal shambling zombies, then a few episodes from the end of the show, lets introduce smart zombies..

'smart' walkers were introduced in S1 (Morgans wife as an example) and were always seen as a plot hole - they just closed the plot hole by acknowledging that they had always been around.

Rick was taken to the CMC and the heli scene shows us that he is still fighting to get back to his family.

Yeah there were poor seasons but on the whole I've loved it. I really enjoyed the last season and have enjoyed seeing some of the flash back stuff and even the interviews with old cast members and how they have changed and grown. Like the Teddy bear carrying girl/zombie from season one or Carols long dead daughter. I actually think it started to he'd in the right direction again this season and look forward to any of the spin offs.

I'm tempted to watch season 1 again.

I recently watched S1 again - still some great moments, but it looked rough as hell.

It strikingly apparent the quality of the later season zombies and production etc Although this came at the cost of some poor episodes/seasons :(

Dont, whatever you do dont. I tried to rewatch it recently as I thought I would like to go beyond s7 where I got upto originally. It just left me tearing my hair out, looking back I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did.

Just finished watching S11, glad this has finally ended, the show has had some good moments but it should have ended a long time ago. Don't think I'm going to bother with any of the spin offs.

I suggest you watch the first season again

I think it was to show us how people in the near future will have to live differently with the zombies, sort of, evolving somewhat. Having zombies just bumble around isn't that threatening so to speak but now they/some are getting more advanced, our heroes with have to adapt. No real need to make much of story about it, just leave it up to us to think about. Maybe it's a start to possibly coexist with them, many years away of course. Train them or something. Don't forget Bub in the og Day of the Dead was 'trained' to be less threatening.
