They sacked the season 1 writers/producer, it went downhill from there.

Surely the Walking Dead pulls in huge numbers for them financially? I mean adverts must be quite a premium with the viewing figures they get? The DVDs... Games etc

Not sure what split they get given the magazine guys are involved, but id have thought the show would get a great budget?

It's to do with the way AMC are funded, they don't have a parent company like other networks do. Also AMC only makes 60 cents for each cable subscriber. They just don't have the revenue of HBO etc.

To achieve what they can on a limited budget with the first show they own 100% of is impressive imho.

The show is still great, although they don't have the money to fund the most sought after producers, they do great with what they have. It's easier for people to be negative though. Personally I really like the Walking Dead.

How many times in the last few episodes were those kids left alone and then that pointless ending, I'm sorry but you just wouldn't. If you can do that, you might aswell kill yourself as well. I'm getting seriously turned off by this show, if it isn't for the boring dragging on bits, then a pointless shock factor thrown in to keep it going
