Who Negan killed in the season finale?

Getting sick of this, we didn't need to end on a cliff hangar has to who it is. They could have panned out showed who it was then fade to black.

Even the Director said 'I don't know' why they went with that ending. Looks like AMC stepped in and told them to do that just to make more people watch the first episode of next season.

Perhaps they simply don't know who to kill? Leaving it open like this allows any cast member to leave and they can simply write around that.

In spoiler tags since I have no idea what goes and what doesn't in this spoiler thread anymore.

Well it was a decent episode and the tension was high, but I did think the acting by this Negan guy when he first appeared was pretty rubbish. I can't believe we have another cliff hanger, seriously. Looked like Daryl to me though, the only guy who would take a beating like that and not cry about it.

Some comic spoilers too:

It's a toss up between Glenn and Daryl IMO, Glenn is killed in this exact same way in the comics, Daryl isn't in the comics. Carl won't die because Negan likes kids and Rick won't because he's the leader. I can't imagine it being a woman so Maggie, Abraham's new piece and Michonne are safe, and Abraham is almost on the wrong side which I think Negan can tell, although he is supposed to be dead at this point...

Eugene could be a viable choice too, he's already given his final words before setting off in the RV.

So Glenn/Daryl or Eugene if the writers decide to cop out and kill a lesser character, but my money is on Glenn. 'That ones free' I don't see that being true coming from a sociopath like Negan.

Although, coming from a TV show perspective (Negan seems different here), it could very well be Daryl. I mean, Negan knows that Maggie/Glenn are a thing from Glenn's outburst, and he does strike me as a sort of businessman (if you can call it that). If he wants Rick's group out scavenging for him, killing a woman's boyfriend/husband might conflict with that somewhat by causing issues within the group next season with him. Daryl probably seems like a loner/outcast just due to him being, well... Daryl. Maybe Negan thinks taking him out would cause minimum issues with Rick's group.

So it could be... Ah **** it, who knows. Stupid cliffhanger.

Thanks for using spoiler tags but if you're talking about anything comic related please can you also add a note about that before the spoiler? Thanks :)

They left the ending open so as to give the producers some ammo when renegotiating contracts I think, its not like any of the regular cast [apart from Maggie] are in any sort of high demand from Hollywood

Yah it wouldn't suprise me if it was someone who wanted to leave.
Daryl would fit that as he has been doing some films here and there and is probably the most popular of the cast. He's more than likely got a lot more lined up and wants out.

It was interesting to see Rick so scared, up to this point he has been hugely arrogant. Finally getting what he deserves. The saviours certainly seem to have numbers, although it was quite ridiculous how they were able to constantly ambush everyone and amass that pile of logs. I wonder how many seasons they will drag this out for.

The helplessness of it all when they were on their knees was the only good thing of the episode for me. They got that across very well. I thought Negen was very poor, however. I've not read the comics though from all the spoilers I've read in this thread over the last year or so I expected more.

Fantastic finale, probably one of the best :D So much tension throughout.

Did people seriously think that it would end any differently though.... lol. What better way to end the season and get everyone talking about the show and tuning in to watch the new season.

I suspect the cosplay couple from Tron :p that Morgan and Carol ran into will have a big part in saving Rick's group and helping to defeat Negan and his men.

Whoever they have killed of will have to have a massive impact on not just the group but also the audience even if it is a fan favourite, if it is Eugene, the Spanish chick or Aaron, people wouldn't really care so I reckon it will be Daryl, Michonne, Glenn or Maggie.

Guaranteed it will be somewhat leaked before season 7 starts though, either a leaked photo or/and just have to look at the actors casting page on IMDB :p

Just watched it myself, enjoyed it, kept the tension going.

Now just got to avoid anything Walking Dead related for a few months so I don't see who they bumped off.

Called it . . .

Finale Spoilers / Small Comic reference

GJ AMC on not having the bottle to make Negan's introduction a memorable moment as in Issue 100. The main problem i have with the ending is its sure to get spoiled over the summer and their hope for a hype build up for Season 7 may be all in vain.

Until someone mentioned it i couldnt place the actors voice who played Trevor in GTAV, knew he sounded familiar :)

Also will be interesting if the Morgan/Carol scenes have led them to The Kingdom? Carol is hard as nails and finally nice to see Morgan having to get blood on his hands for once.

As for Negan too early to tell if Geoffrey Dean Morgan will make a good Negan, for me that role was made for Henry Rollins :p

Definately goes down as my favourite season of TWD so far despite the ending. See y'all in October :)

Wow all that build up. Did my best not read or look at any spoilers all day !!! So much tension and they left us hanging. Now we have to wait until next season :D

Very weird seeing Negan threaten Maggie when Jefferey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan was husband and wife in BvS.

Sharpy - Henry certainly looks the part.

Did anyone notice they introduced another new player to TWD universe?
