YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND, CYBERCROW, RIGHT ROUND. LIKE A RECORD BABY, RIGHT ROUND RIGHT ROUND.
Suppose it's just right to give up and let the thread get back on track. I think you've dug a bit of a hole for yourself, ever deeper with offering to share copyrighted material with other members. Admittedly you did ask whether they were required in hardback/paper back/electronic formats so the intention there is more likely to fill others in on
where they can get them, but as you can see from other immediate responses up until now you really ought to consider how your posts come across before hitting the button. I think lots of people have been getting the wrong end of the stick here.
For the record, though, your quote of a potential contradiction is not a contradiction at all... it's an affirmation of the point in question: You can talk about old stuff, if you're mindful that others may not have been exposed to it, and you should always treat spoilers accordingly. It's perfectly fine to talk about spoilers if you want -- but they should always be correctly labelled or tags used so that people can avoid them. As an example, popping into a particular film thread and saying "
HE WAS DEAD THE WHOLE TIME, spoilers lol" is not clever, nor courteous -- no matter how old the film in question is.
And that's not just a rule for this forum/community in particular. It's online etiquette. My responses to you throughout this entire exchange have been nothing but adult. Unfortunately you appear to see an emotional state of disagreement as perfect reason to regress one's own mental faculties to that of a bickering pre-teen.
To put a final point on it: Apology accepted. I'm fully satisfied that any further spoiler discussion on any topic from you will be suitably concealed. I'm also satisfied that you were not aware that your post would make some other followers of the series so shocked, disappointed, or upset, and to do so was not your intention.
I wish you all the best.
