The weekend's (22nd) football *there be spoilers*

Just seen the wh v boro result, perfect result for us, i think sami and carra would have struggled against the fat aussi and JFH tbh, so the weekend has been pretty damn perfect!

After a pulsating encounter with our goal bound to upset them, I thought that for Henry to present Carrick with man of the match on Sky was top class and the man earned respect from me for that.

I am sure many of you saw it but for those who did not but he said that we won the first half and that it would have been better if our goal had been the Carrick 'Ricky Villa' run at the end of the half.

A bit of class... Wenger take note

Yeah i missed the game but switched on just at the end, thought it showed great sportsmanship from Henry to do that, even seemed to be having a cheeky joke aswell :)

Probably saying how he'll be off in a couple of months so doesn't really care :p

Did you here the one about the Liverpool supporter who will almost certainly get tickets for the cup final on the 13th May and who flies out for a week in Rhodes on the 10th :( :( :( :(

Indeed that was quality, especially the bit when Carrick was asked if he saw it & Henry just said Yes :D Wenger was a fool & all the replays have shown that to be the case & it is also clear that the arsenal players that went over, or one of them anyway, were playing for the ball to be put out.

The replays actually show Jol saying 'Play it, Play it' Hardly something you would say to a player offside ;)

Whether Jol saw the incident or not doesn't really matter to me, if anything what he said afterwards was an appropriate dig at Wengers miopic view of matches. Using his own catchphrase against him "I didn't see it", glorious.

The plain fact is the referee was standing right by the incident, he looked straight at the chuckle brothers to assess if he needed to stop the game. Was clear that neither Barry or Paul were injured badly so he just let play continue.

Fact (imo ;)) is Arsene Whinger is gutted that it is now out of his hands with regard to finishing fourth, securing financial stability and Henry's signature. He just needed an excuse to detract from his failings and is clutching at straws.

He couldn't handle the fact that he made a bad judgement with regard to his team selection, which resulted in them being outplayed for over an hour.

Bye Bye Highbury, Hello Cashburden Grave.

Oh sorry you sold the rights to the name of it, what's it called now "The Immigrants Stadium"? :p

I love Spurs fans gloating We've won umpteen major trophies since they lost won anything worth thinking about, gone a whole season unbeaten, are about to move to a pukka new stadium as you say, we did the double over them last season, have got to the CL semi-finals, they couldn't beat us even by cheating, haven't beaten us for yonks, haven't even beaten one good team this season... and somehow they still think they're in a position where they can boast to us?

1. One win at Highbury in 21 years, against a reserve team.

2. No win against Arsenal in 7 (soon to be eight years).

3. 2 League Championships.

4. A 36,000 stadium (chuffed you were made to walk pass Ashburton Grove...)"Spurs fans turn left please!"

5. First European qualification through the league in 23 years!

6. A potential CL/European Cup qualification having last won the leaugue before The Beatles had formed and Kennedy had been shot.

7. 20+ years in our shadow.

8. Your best is our worst.

:p

To be honest, this crap about the spurs goal is silly. I can't think of any other team in the league that wouldn't have taken advantage of the two players on the ground. When there is that much at stake in a game every advantage is taken.

Where was I boasting? I agree Spurs have underperformed and endured years of mediocrity since I have supported them. The proven fact is no team can stay at the top indefinetly; players get old, well oiled machines start to creak and break apart.

I'd be lieing if I said I wasn't envious of what Arsenal have achieved in the last 10 years. Possibly the best era in their history with regard to consistancy, still even after all that time they have only just managed to actually make an impact in Europe.

Hope you've enjoyed your success, if you fail to keep hold of Henry then say farewell to the good times.

Just my 2p. ;)

Everyone can moan about the incident leading up to the Keane goal or question Arsene Wengers selection in leaving players like Hleb, Eboue, Henry and Fabregas out of the starting 11.

It was a must win game for us on Saturday with a lot at stake.

If we do fail to finish 4th it won't be down to that game but our awful away performance in the league, notably Blackburn, Boro, West Brom, Bolton, Newcastle and Everton. Thats 18 points alone just there dropped.
