The Witcher : Enhanced Edition

Been playing The Witcher for a few weeks and loving it. So far I'm about half way through chapter 4. The game already has great replay potential with all of the different choices and outcomes throughout the game. These improvements will only enhance that replayability.
I think I'll complete it, put it aside, then play through again when the new content is released. Just need something to get me through the period in between.

Started it on valentines (what a present :D ) so far its bloody fantastic and I'm only in chapter 2. This sound like an amazing update.

I agree 100%

But May 16th seems like a looooooooooong way away to me. I'll either be bored or finished with it by then :(

Wow. That's quite an impressive overhaul. Perhaps I'll get round to playing it once it's out ;)

2kBoston could learn from this... (which is sad in itself)

Agree with those that said the boxing was easy. If anything this needs to have a greater level of skill introduced as I never came close to losing any bout.

About 30mins into chapter 1, and I am LOVING it already.

Given the various choices that can be made, I will be giving it a replay once the new edition is out too.

Graphics are very nice at 1680x1050, 2x AA, 16xAF and everything on high :)

I was planning picking this up for my new setup. I had no idea it had to so many problems. Glad to see they are trying to sort it out.

Many people have had problems with this game but an awful lot haven't.
I recently completed this fantastic game (after 4 months of playing). The only problem I had in all that time were two crashes to desktop. Apart from that it was flawless - I can't recommend it highly enough.
I'll play it through again when all the enhancements are out, can't wait.

What graphics card out of interest?

Think I'll be giving this whirl. Last Atari game I played was Fahrenheit and I absolutely loved it!

The further I get into the game the more I realise I'll want to play this game again so I can choose a different path. The choices it has you make are really difficult. I've made most of my choices based on my own personal feelings. Next time i'll role-play him differently. But I'm definitely waiting for the extended edition before I start again, the decreased loading times and CTD's I can live with first time through... but second time through... no !

Bought the book the other day, really enjoying that as well, helps give some emotion and depth to Geralt's background. I've never bought a book based on a game before. I'd say this is probably the most immersive game i've ever played. Its easily up there with Deus Ex for me.

Edit: Actually re-reading that I should have said "I've never bought a book BECAUSE of a game i've played". The game is actually based on the books and not vice versa as stated.
