Oh and:

BOOBIES! :D

It's awsome GOTY for me , i play this game every day which is rare for me these last few years... Boobies covered , i have a collection of the nude ones though :D

What system are you running it on Neil79 and what detail setting? (if they're your shots)

Mostly full detail but shadows on medium , 1280x1024... Application preferences in ati tray tools as you can set AF/AA in the game menu which is on 2XAA/16XAF :)

3800+ x2 @ 2.6GHZ 288FSB ,2GB GSKILL DDR 3 3 2 8 244MHZ , SLI-DR , X1800XT 512MB 702/801 , SAMSUNG 913N 19" TFT.

Runs pretty well then

Will have to try and pick this up.

Has this got multiplayer/coop?

No, single player only.

Have to agree with the earlier poster Witcher is the best game I have played so far this year too, I picked up Witcher after reading the thread about it here. Hadnt heard of the game up until then, i've sat here for the past several years of gaming and moaned about how poor the storytelling is these days, how everything is all about fancy graphics, explosions and pwning people...how the art of telling a good story, and giving the player choices which actually affect the game greatly etc, you know, basically everything which brought us the truly great adventure and RPG games of the 80s and early 90s....then wham, out of nowhere, a game comes along which, for the first time in years does exactly that.

Best of all, its got probably something like 70-100+ hours of game, which in this modern era of games being lucky to last you 15 hours is utterly fantastic.

The loading times can get a bit annoying, and the combat takes some getting used to, but the storyline and gameworld MORE than make up for it, as well as taking the so called storylines/gameworlds of other games outside for a good kicking in the back alley.

I really hope that the game sells well, because I would love to see a sequel, and I would also love it to be a message to game devs that this is the sort of thing we want to see, not the same mindless, empty content, let the users make their own maps/content/levels, spend 30quid finish it in 3 days crap that all too frequently adorns gaming shelves nowadays

/Thumbs up for Witcher

To the OP, looked at the first two screenies from first post and realised they were from further in the game than I am currently on (currently on Chapter 3), I know it is later as you have all the signs.

However you only have your silver sword - what happened to your steel one?

If it is a spoiler don't tell me, however if you just decided to get rid of - why?

BTW for everyone else, who has picked up the game without knowing about it all, the game world and characters comes from a series of fantasy novels written by the polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. There is about nine books centering on Geralt, however only one has been translated to English - The Last Wish. You might want to pick it up as it is quite good and the game references a lot of the stories in it.
