The World's End

Massive Simon Pegg and Nick Frost fan!!. Loved Spaced and the Films (SOTD and HF) even liked some of the other stuff they've been connected to (in a writing/acting stance).

Really looking forward to this!! :)

I took my nephew for his 16th Birthday on Saturday and he loved it altho to be honest I actually found it rather meh. TWE is probably the weakest of the three films IMO and a shame considering the great stuff Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have done previously....

I liked it a lot. In terms of humour, it's the weakest of the trilogy (although it deserves a repeat viewing) but on a technical level it's by far the strongest. The direction is a tour de force, it definitely highlights how much Edgar Wright has learned from Scott Pilgrim, and the tonal shifts, downbeat ending, Pegg/Frost role reversal and the depth of both of their characters demonstrates how much they've grown as filmmakers.

I didn't go into this expect LOL moments. There were some and I'm pleased to see the same level of humour that we have seen in the previous 2 is still there.
As already said, technically I found this the best of the trilogy. From a LOL point of view then Shaun still holds that crown.

Really enjoyed it and I may well make a repeat visit.

The Cornetto trilogy may well be over - but lets hope this isn't the last time these guys all work together.

I might watch it on the basis of that comment alone. Scott Pilgrims a massive favourite of mine...

ps3ud0

Apparently there is talk of them making another film in a similar vain as it's the only time they can all get together as friends.

i agree - it was the least funny but i thought it was the best film of the three - the characterisation was the best of the three.

I watched it last night.. Thought it was good but not Shawn of the Dead or Hot Fuzz good/funny. Being the same sortof age as Simon Pegg and Nick Frost it really did make me feel old.. REALLY OLD :(

Liked the fight scenes though, it was like they went from mild mannered 40's to WWE Superstars in an instant! :O

Just watched it in the Mermaid Club in the film (Broadway Cinema letchworth) it had a cool intro with Simon Peg et al saying thanks to Letchworth etc. Enjoyed the film maybe not as much Hot Fuzz or SOTD, but still a good film. Must admit it was a bit sad spotting parts and places around town used in the film.

That's all I ever read about this...

Comments from people that live where the film was shot. Like some form of self-justification that it must be awesome for that reason alone.

Rarely do they ever mention what the film was like, as if to only point out that one interesting fact :o
