The worst thing happened today

I enjoyed buy one get one free on Yorkies tonight on the train home.

Seriously though, I do feel your pain. The machine at college used to do this all the time, that was 10 years ago though, suerly spiral technology should have been superseeded by now....it's deeply flawed!

It's not the fault of the machine, it's when it's not refilled properly.

Bunch of pansies you lot who have got stuff stuck on a spiral, just gotta use your muscle and it comes loose, only time you have an excuse is if the chocolate is one spiral behind as in the chocolate should be on the first spiral but its on the 2nd one so when you put your money in it moves to the first spiral and you don't get anything :( hated myself for that

You didn't barge it hard enough mate. When I worked at Stansted, we used to go over to the gates on late shifts and barge everything out that passengers had left 'on the edge'

We also barged them when they weren't on the edge and often got lucky.

Unlucky.
I've had the opposite happen before now. Waiting in Stoke train station last year, only had 50p on me, went for a bar of galaxy and out comes the bar and another 50p, so I went for a galaxy caramel, and my 50p came back too, did that once more and it finally got the idea :p
But 3 bars of chocolate for 50p was nice :D

Keyboard warrior/ If that happened to me, I'd round kick the glass, smash it, put all the chocolates in my backpack, urinate into the machine and then set it on fire.

Grrrr, you beat me! You forgot the 'drop kick' bit, though.

Unlucky mate, your nicely written story gave me a laugh so that's some (admitedly not much) consolation. Damn that would've broken me, how did you have to wait until you got fed?

I've had worse vending machine troubles. I bought a Wispa Gold (Oh how I miss them -even thought they're made under a different name they're not the same  ) and I put in my £2 coin. I received NO WISPA and £1.60 worth of changes in 1 and 2p coins. I was standing there for about 30 seconds hearing my change clunk out.

:D
Vending machines are evil. One at my old college had sandwiches in, put a quid in, the correct amount, enter the number, it sits there thinking about whats its going to do, then says the product doesnt exist. It bloody does! I'm looking at it! :(

Maybe you were in the philosophy department and it was a test? :o

English department :p

Either way, they're a tease at the best of times. Mind you, got £1.60 change from putting a quid in once.. free mars? free money? bargain.

Once in a tube station, I was trying to buy a chocolate bar from the Cadbury vending machines.

Put in 50p (or whatever amount it was back then), then chose the Whole Nut.

Not available. Ugh.

Chose the Milk Chocolate.

Not available. Double ugh.

Chose the Fruit & Nut

Not available. They're all out to get me!!

Chose the Caramel.

Out comes 5 bars of Caramel. result! Never happened again, though. :/

Lol, can beat that, me and some mates were at a theme park, one of us noticed that when he bought his chocolate, the machine didn't decrement the credit, somehow that one spiral of chocolate was priced at nothing, well of course we pressed the number in until it was out :p

Our machine at work knows when stuff hasn't come out, and gives you your money back. There's a certain bag of cookies that quite often ends up perched on the edge, then it refunds your money, then you kick it and it drops :D

Free cookies!

We have those too, but it's always the same things that aren't stocked properly so they go out of order really quickly and stay that way for the rest of the day :(.
