The Wrestler

My biggest problem is with Mickey Rourke; he is a bloody terrible actor. I have never seen any of his other films before or even heard of him, but through out the whole film I never once became engaged with him. His performance just did not feel real to me even if his physical appearence does suite the roll well, his actual acting is some what lacking by a few miles.
3/10

You clearly have no idea what good acting is then.

You clearly have no idea what an opinion is. Glad someone enjoyed it though.

Edit: Instead of snipping childish comments lets go abit deeper? You thought his performance was solid and believable? I just did not get captured and did not get a feel for his situation even though the film kept harping on about him being down and out. His performance and the way he was betrayed just did not do much for me it seemed abit phony.

But each to their own... Aye, Carzy.

what? i thought he was amazing in this role. he even nearly won an oscar for it didnt he ?

anyway i strongly suggest you go watch some of his older films. he was one of the best

The whole hype and oscar winning that surrounds this film indeed make me kinda think I was in for something extraordinary and a good watch.. What can I say.. I was disappointed. Surely their must be other complaints about this film if not Mickey Rourke's performance but the very predictable story line.

There's no need to go deeper, you are clearly wrong and that's all there is to it.

No he isn't wrong.

No-one can be "wrong" about any film. It's totally subjective and that's all there is to it. I like most of Keanu Reeve's acting performances even though he is widely regarded to be a bad actor. Just because everyone else says one thing though doesn't mean ****.
