"Good news everyone!!!"

I need to share

As most of you know I work for the Ambulance Service in Dudley. And about 3 months ago I was given a promotion to dispatch within the control room. And my new years resolution this year was to get even further.. and yesterday morning I had a nice surprise from the Duty Officer. Myself and 4 others are to be sent to RAF Cosford to start training to operate the Air Operations desk, meaning having part responsibility for 5 Air Ambulances

deploying them as needed to incidents.

We have to go to RAF Cosford to learn about the Helicopters themselves as well as learning Map Reading (Co-Ordinates etc) along with that also going up with the Chopper on jobs (Used to be really afraid of flying, still am a little but I think this will help me get over it lol!)

Congrats dude - I lost my job, spent all my lifes savings trying to sort it out, can't pay my rent or buy food, and I'm trapped in a country far away from everyone I know, and when I finally leave next month, will be leaving a lovely GF behind because of the lack of any real work!

I get wound up at how much flak the ambulance service get off ungrateful punters and they always get the platinum service off me when requested.
