this thread is for when you realise you've got a problem

sat down 2 hours ago to play some skyrim, i have yet to actually launch the game because i'm installing mods. this isn't the first time this has happened and i doubt it'll be the last

i have the same problem with kerbal space program, if a launch takes less than 10 minutes from an ssd then i feel i'm not trying hard enough

so what do you guys do that make you think you should probably stop but you never do?

I recently started playing 7 days to die and couple of times I spent ~2hrs watching youtube videos about how to build a base etc. and then realised it's too late or I have to go do something which meant I didn't get to play that day!

Same thing with Netflix as above :)

I am exactly the same with KSP. Just installed an RSS/RP-0 install, I have spent 2 days....I havent even played the game yet!

always fancied playing this but never bothered . is it good ?

...you end up spending more time watching others play the games you own on YouTube/Twitch etc. than actually playing them yourself...please send help. :)

tell me about it, 5 hours i was on the pc last night for about 30 mins worth of actual game time before "y'know those wall textures look kinda meh, wonder if there's a mod for that"

...you keep buying PC games in a Steam sale but have no PC capable of running them on. :D :D And I will be doing the same in a few days time even though I'm planning on spending my hard saved dough on a Macbook instead of a gaming PC. :D :D

wow, i thought i was bad for being in the "60% of my steam library i haven't even played" brigade :D

So far I only played solo to get a hang of it so can't comment on multiplayer side of it. If you enjoy building and scavenging it's pretty good and I enjoy it. Finding good axe/ pickaxe early on makes so much difference.

Performance wise it's alright but not great (if you think PUBG is bad than this is worse) as long as you don't minimize it even for a second (my FPS gets locked to 22 after I come back to game and need to restart it). I've got i5 4690k at 4.5ghz, 16gb RAM, GTX 1080 with g-sync screen and it never feels 100% smooth even with 100+ FPS. Maybe it's just my settings and I need to play more with them.

Know I have a problem....when I spend 1-2 hours trying to find out how to change the bloody awful keybinds on Homeworld:deserts of Kharak, finally doing half the job & then saying "Sod this" & loading something else.

Know I have a problem....when I install a 4-5gb game (Oblivion) & have 7gb of mods lol.

Similarly, Banished is only around 122mb, yet my game folder is 4.92gb in size :D

When contemplating purchasing a game, I tend to look if it can be modded first, see what is on Nexusmods & then decided to buy the game or not ;)

Moved to the states, not too fizzed by many recent titles so figured I'd rebuy WoW (whole new account, can't transfer), I've made a Fury warrior which I sometimes tank for, in a guild and about to do my first run on the new raid with them. Almost 110 on a rogue which will be my main.

All well and good, but I even managed to get my wife to get back into it, we're both absolutely loving it as the guild we're in is super fun and friendly, very active on Discord everyday etc etc

The problem was obvious after 4 weeks, I hadn't touched a single game other than WoW... Uh oh.
