The Z77 Sabertooth Club.

Did you guys use the ASUS software when over clocking? I am new to this and was wondering what sort of numbers I should be looking at?

i5 3570k, Sabertooth Z77, 16GB Samsung Green, 7970 3GB, H50 Watercooler.

There is a basic overclocking guide (with UEFI screenshots) up to 4.6GHz which I wrote at the beginning of the thread. Follow that and you should be fine. I don't think you can go much higher with Ivy and this sort of cooling but around 4.5 - 4.6 should be ok.

Hi Gamer4Life,

I'm glad you found the guide to be useful. That said I would have to agree with the people above that you should not be leaving the current voltages as they are in the photo.
It is just too much for the chip to handle long term. If speed stepping was on, you had a stable system, your CPU ran at about 0.9 - 1.0v most of the time and only spiked 1.7 during heavy load, that would be different, but I still wouldn't do it.

Most people are simply unlikely to notice much performance difference on day to day basis running the 0.4GHz extra.

Enjoy your new board :)
