Hi guys
Have a Thecus N500pro that has a failed motherboard, the PSU works.
Was in raid 5, 4 disks in use one marked as spare.
We have a few of these Thecus N5200pro NAS boxes at work just sitting around.
Now to the main question....
Will it be safe for me to put those disks (in the same order) in one of the spare 5200pro's we have lying around? if so, Is there anything i need to do on the spare NAS beforehand to prep it?
I have read that people with similar issues say just swap the motherboard if you can, but im worried that it wont know what to do with the drives and just format them.
Cheers
