Theme Park Hospital - Care to revisit an epic game? (works vista 64/windows 7)

That whole website is pretty much on the fringes of questionable piracy, heck it has links to primaguides and games like MGS.

Farcry was only made free for a limited time and wasnt it Ad supported? Theme hospital can still easily be found in any game shop under the soldout brand and a quick google shows new copies being sold online.

I dont really get the concept of abandonware really unless the devs have officially released it like Arena or Flight of the Amazon Queen, downloading an album from the 60-70's is still illegal even if you cant buy it in the shops so why are games any different, they are still property of someone/a company. If you didnt get a chance to buy it originally get it 2nd hand, heck you wouldnt steal an original mini cooper as they dont make it anymore you'd search 2nd hand car ads and dealerships.

that reminds me, i loved theme park back in the dos days :D

are there any modern updates or similar games today?
 
Hospital Tycoon comes to mind, never played it so I don't know how good it is though from what I remember it borrowed heavily from Theme Hospital.

Tried it, it's crap. Terrible game
Love theme hospital though, someone on my college course has done a bit of modding and made it work on my memory stick too (there are mobile versions available too). Good times :cool:
 
Why are so many of you trying to claim this to be pirate? I showed a link from google to hundreds of sites showign it as freeware. Now unless you want to claim that all these sites who allow people to download freeware to be pirate websites also then i think the case is closed dont you? People just want something to moan about. its a great game stop trying to get this thread closed for stupid reasons.

i would imagin bullfrog or who ever now own the rights released it to public use like many games have done because to be honest, they arnt going to make much money from it anymore. This thread is letting people enjoy a briliant game, stop trying to ruin it.

Yup, it's abandonware, so the legality of this is questionable. I doubt the publishers are interested in laying a claim on it, but it's not freeware.
 
O and yaeh the website appears to go down time to time but does come up again, it was down for a few hours last night.

I installed this over my original install, which worked fine, now it doesn't :(:(.


EDIT: nvm, fixed it, forgot to add an ''\'' after ''M:\games\Bullfrog\Hospital''

Hehe the music is great, also the lag bug followed by a crash when placing rooms in vista x64 is now gone :P.

Its not abandonware though, The publishers (via sold out brand) are still publishing and selling it. Cant post links or anything but you can buy a boxed copy it directly from them (its in stock) as well as in the shops.

Fair enough, well this is warez then, and I hate to ruin everyone's day....but it's therefore against forum rules.
 
Bit off topic but does anyone know where I can get Street Wars/Constructor, found it on Abandonware but the sound doesn't work.
