Theory Cert and Practical Test?

Hi guys

Do you need to take your theory cert along to your driving test when you go to take it... I had to use my theory cert in order to book the test, and surley if I take another form of identity with me (Like my passport) would that be okay?

If not, im gonna be spending most of the night turning my house upside down to fin it >.<
 
Afaik - No Certificate - No test.

If you've lost it, there must be some sort of procedure to follow to get a replacement. But it sounds like you might have left it a bit late :/
 
The last two paracticals i've had to take (woo, passed!) they didn't even mention the theory certificate, just the paper license. It#s assumed you've got a theory cert since you needed it to book the test in the first place.
Check on the back of the test confirmation letter, it'll tell you what you need.
 
You don't need your theory pass certificate, the system won't let you book a test without having a certificate number. I lost mine and it wasn't a problem for the examiner he just didn't tick the box, but i still passed.

At the driving test centre

You must bring the following items with you to your driving test. If you do not, we may refuse to carry out the test and you may lose your fee.

an appropriately insured and licensed vehicle, displaying L- plates that is suitable for the purpose of the test
the appropriate theory test pass certificate (or confirmation) if you are not exempt
your appointment letter
both parts of your photo card licence. If you do not take both parts of your licence your test will not take place and you will lose your fee. If you misplace your licence, you must apply for a replacement from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), which could take up to 15 days. If this happens, you may have to rearrange your test
if you have an old style paper licence, from 1 November 2005 you must bring your paper licence and a valid passport
for a motorcycle test please remember to take your compulsory basic training (CBT) certificate as well
 
Ive just phoned my driving instructor after another hour of turning my house upside down... he said call the test centre tomorrow morning and they will say yes as they should be able to check against my driving licence number..
