I know most of you passed years ago but I was wondering if there was anyone who'd passed recently? I've finally started lessons again and have my theory on Thursday.

I bought the DSA Theory test DVD for 2011 a few months back but I've just noticed it's only valid until September 2011.

The only DVDs/materials I can see to buy for September 2011 onwards say "The Official DSA Complete Theory Test Kit (valid until January 2012) by TSO" - so it makes me wonder if what I have available to learn from is enough for my test this week?

They dont really change. My motorcycle theory was largely the same as my driving theory form years ago

Learn the road signs. BRaking distances. Most stuff is common sense.

I've just run the official DSA mock test and got 43/50 on my first attempt and 44/50 on my second.

I'm learning from my mistakes and I'm finding the ones I'm guessing on are the ones I'm getting wrong.

I'll run through the mock tests several times and revise the braking distances and signs like you say.

It's easy, don't worry.

75% of it is total common sense. The rest is just random stuff you should know anyway like signs, distances, etc.

It's dead easy. I know one guy who failed - god knows how.

Day before mine I just read through all the sample questions. 50/50 :)

Hardest part is Hazard Perception, and you should be able to do that so long as you've actually driven before...

I think my downfall will be the hazard perception.

I'm seeing the hazards but I clicked too early on a mock online test and didn't register any points for those...

Stupid. I'd rather point and click on the hazard.

It's all the same stuff really. A bit of common sense and you should pass easily.

its basicly it.

go and do as many past questions as you can, go over and over, but most important, be relaxed. yeah you will be nervous but its fine.

story with my theory test.

got there, forgot the 2nd half of my license, went home (hour bus) went back (another hour bus) got there, took the test 1 hour later, (didn't realy care mood) and passed. 10 5's on the video and only got 2 questions wrong.

just try not to think of anything else, go through the questions over and over, emagine the situation in your head, close your eyes to help.

my friend passed with out any revision (he says) but a little revision will help you a lot.

I have no problems with the questions, it's the hazard perception I'm having problems with.

Can anyone else pass this?

I've tried three times and I have seen each and every hazard, and re-done it with the list of hazards. Still having issues.

The cyclist crossing the zebra crossing registers as 0 for me and I'm seeing him a mile off.

I really don't understand..

I did my theory a few months ago and passed easily. I had epic fail with that online test you posted. As long as you are not a complete more...on, you will pass easily.

Failed that one by 6% - the cyclist didn't register - I got a 0 for it. The problem with the hazard perception is that you're not sure how early you can click.

However, I passed my theory around 1.5 - 2 years ago first time, the proper hazard perception tests are fairer I think - some of those were a little silly.

Passed :)

47/50 for the theory, 55/75 for the hazard perception. I thought I'd failed the questions, surprised to see I did better in that than the hazard perception...

Well done. :D

I scored really high in my hazard perception test. My instructor said: "why can't you do that when you are driving with me?"

Meh...it was a computer game. :p
