Am sitting my bike theory test in a week or so and having driven a car for 16 years, this will be a new experience!
I have a DVD which has about 40 clips on for the Hazard Perception, and can complete most of the clips with full marks. How many clips are actually in the test? Is there a recommended DVD to get? Is it worth getting another? The highway code section does not faze me as I am consistently getting 100% and I do have an excellent understanding of it, but I am slightly worried about the hazard perception. I need to pass this test on my first attempt due to time constraints.

Any pointers or tips would be great. Thanks very much. :)

I did my bike theory last week (and passed :D). I hadn't practiced any hazard perceptions as I just ran out of time, bad planning really but nevermind. There are 14 clips - 13 score up to 5 points each and 1 scores up to 10 points.

I got 60 out of 75 without practicing any so it's quite straightforward and easy to spot the hazards. I got 9 out of 10 on the 1 clip and mostly 4's and 5's on the others with 1 or 2 only getting 2 points.

Good luck :)

hazard perception seems to be pot luck,if you spot a hazard and click early it does not always count and if you click to many times it says your cheating and fails you on that one clip ,think your allowed about 6 clicks on each clip .Its really stupid however I did pass first time but only just .

Does it tell you when there is a 2 hazard clip forthcoming, or is that up to you to find out?!

Thanks and congrats mate. :)

Unfortunately it doesn't tell you. I found that most clips had more than 1 hazard so clicked anyway, although be careful not to click too many times or you score nothing on that clip.
Easiest way I found was to click when you first see the hazard and then click again if that hazard changes or a new one appears. That's what the demo clips they show at the test centre just before the hazard perception part comes up seemed to suggest.

Thank you :)
