There are 1.3 million (at least) people still playing CS??

I still play.
Still same ace game play. Great fun. Not as many screaming 8 year old noobs as other new games. Quite allot of people on these forums still play. We have our own group ^_^

What is it 11 years old now? Maybe it's all people in places like Mexico and Bangladesh playing?

you kidding? age of a game doesnt matter, its all about its quality.
the game is rife with tactics and huge replayability thats why its still played even today by the masses...

the same goes for cod4 on pc , player numbers of that game are huge even with 2 other cod games out.

and your value of countries is shocking.....the game is played all over the world.

Not surprising in the least especially if you think about what happens when you mention old games to the masses. e.g Deus Ex I bet you several people will now reinstall the afore mentined game!

I was thinking maybe it's the only decent game that will run on the millions of crappy 3rd world internet cafe computers.

No its because the gameplay is unique and for me the thrill of killing people in it was second to none.

You will find communities all over the place for older games simply because they dont care about shiny graphics and enjoy the gameplay/tactics and playing with other people who love the game just as much as them.

I don't like online games that you play against other humans very much, I just don't have the time to play it enough to get good enough to not get my ass kicked.

Saying that, I still manage to win the odd game of day of defeat, usually around 7am on sunday morning for some reason...

I personally don't like it, find it boring and repetitive, but I guess each to their own. It does irritate me a little how much it dominates the Steam servers list, but I'm not one of those people who dedicates thousands of hours to one game, I like variety! :D

Mexico? do you really believe they are a third world country? If your still at school your excused for your lack of worldly insight...
Mexico has one of the biggest electronic booms in the world, most of their offices have better computers then UK ones! let alone the average home...
