He's a fairly decent 'keeper who can't kick playing in front of a very well organised defence that's shielded well by it's midfield, if he gets the record it won't be down to him

To be fair you could say that for any keeper record or clean sheet record. Reina and Cech are top keepers and keep loads of clean sheets, and a lot of the time they don't do much.
