When I first started crunching for SETI I think I was running a 266 PII. Today, my phone must have at least 600MHz sat idle at the moment - Where's my app? I'd even sit on the train messing with proteins if there was a foldit app... Somebody must know somebody - have a word!

Plenty of mobile devices out there, therefore the amount of untapped processing potential is immense, if currently appreciably slower than desktops.

I think the battery life would be dramatically reduced making it absurd. Good idea tho.

And with that increased heat. Although it would be possible to only use it when its plugged into the mains. Most people plug it in overnight. Personally, mine needs charging every night.
