Not a fan of it as an idea. Start on faster tyres, with heavy fuel load, have to pit very soon and go onto the optimal tyres for a stint, possibly having to pit again...

I still prefer the 4 tyre compounds and run what the hell you want - rules.

Why such a big gap between 1st and 2nd.

Wouldn't that mean that if one driver dominates, the title could be settled early?

Hopefully as there are more points available overall it won't be too bad, guess we will have to wait and see though.

I still think quali is completely pointless now

At least for the last few years it was possible to see in Q3 how the top 10 where likely to perform for the first stint of the race relative to the others, but thats completely out the window now as they will be on different fuel loads (and also in one sense more dangerous)

Its also the case that more consideration will be put into the design of the cars while at full fuel levels (where before they hardly ever used a full tank except when an accident happened at the "right" time and some chose to top right up)

If one driver is dominating, why shouldn't the title be settled early?

it will hopefully encourage who ever is in 2nd place not to settle for it and go for first.
