So you only want a forum where you own opinions are never challenged and where no-one disagrees with you. That seems like an incredibly insecure place to be.

well it is a computer hardware forum and represents the shop in many ways

its not a race discussion forum , what must people think who are looking through when deciding what components to buy etc

I have no questions to ask myself, I just don't see why the people who have been banned/suspended/whatever are being made out as 100% rule-breakers. This isn't the case.

There's no rule to say you can't be a member of another forum outside of OcUK. Only that you can't **** off OcUK. The posters in question didn't, on the contrary many defended it. I can see OcUK's point in wanting them off that site in particular but them staying due to not wanting to be told what to do off the OcUK forums is understandable on some levels.

They made their bed and now they're lying in it, but their reasons for doing so are not anti-OcUK at all IMO. :)

I doubt they'll be surprised being in the "General Discussion" forum of the "Life" section. ;)

So what do you think the difference between "general hardware" and "general discussion" forums are?
This site holds a number of forums for discussion on a variety of things from graphics cards to politics.
If you feel out of your depth or do not wish to discuss religion or politics then the best thing would be to stick to the hardware forums or stay out of the threads that upset your sensibilities.

The owner of OcUK does not want members contributing to an OcUK hate site, whatever their motivation. This is his forum and his rules must be followed. Membership is a privilege, not a right and hence the owners wishes must be respected in order to continue your membership here.

The members involved were given notice and given the option to choose. Some chose to respect Spie's wishes and others chose to ignore them. Those who contribute to a forum which is dedicated to blackening the name of OcUK are no longer welcome here.

It's perfectly simple and reasonable.

Anyway - Congratulations Zefan, glad to have you on board :)
