Can I use Arctic Silver 5 on both my GPU and my CPU?

Am am going to water cool and want a cheap thermal paste, either 1 that I can use on both the CPU and GPU or two different cheap pastes.

Thanks :D

Or MX-3, little difference really.

Non conductive TIM is better for use on a GPU as they lack the heatspreaders of modern CPUs and a bit of stray TIM could zap your card, which wouldn't be very funny.

3.5g will be enough for dozens of applications.

Why do you want a cheap thermal paste? Surely if you're buying a watercooling setup, you don't want to skimp out on TIM? I'd recommend mx-3/mx-4 or wait for the results of the IC diamond testing :)

maybe try something non electrical conductive? just in case you balls it up and get it where it shouldn't be?
