can someone let me know what is the best product to use to clean my CPU when i change over motherboards.

I want to clean off all thermal paste from the top before re-applying. Also if any paste gets on the bottom of the cpu can they be cleaned with the same product?

It's great stuff. I use it for CPU, GPU cleaning etc when changing out coolers. It's also often out of stock so grab some now is my advice!

I'm really really hoping that you dont mean that thermal compound has got underneath your CPU and over all the pins?? Surely you dont put that much on? Search the forum for application instructions as it's been covered loadsa times previously and good luck! :)

ArctiClean Thermal Material Remover - good stuff, smells nice too :)

Same liquid as far as I can tell. The second bottle is alcohol.

The above kit works very well as a consequence, citrus degreaser removes the paste very well, and the alcohol removes any traces the citrus has missed/left behind
