Thermal Paste on CPU

It wouldn't bother me as even if it arrived looking clean, I'd still clean it myself before fitting heatsink.
 
I'd still clean it on delivery as a matter of course, but it's a little bit sloppy (pun intended), they could at least wipe it down with something to get the worst off.
 
On a second hand cpu? Who cares as long as it works?

If my 6700k had been covered in thermal paste out of the sealed intel box, then that would be another matter ;)

You what? Surely you have packaged it properly in the first place or is that sarcasm. Hard to tell without the smiles ;)

On another note, I know people are saying it's easy to do and all that but the point is that it is easy enough for the seller to do it. Yes I would personally clean it again but some wouldn't.

And it is like buying a car with the rubbish left in it. We would still likely clean it ourselves after buying but we would still expect the seller to have cleaned it as well be it private or trade.
