I might end up answering my own question but I'm guessing it's a case of you get what you pay for? Just browsing through OcUK's selection their is quite a variety of ranging prices is their really that much difference between the cheaper and the five quid extra ones? Anyone know a place that maybe put these into a graph? (Ie tested all with same processor etc and recorded the temps?)

Is the OCZ Freeze more like the MX-2 or AS5? By this I've read that the as5 is like a grease that will need replacing every so often rather than the MX-2 which will stay for years.

TIM - Interface

If your cooling is lousy ( and i'm not impyling that it is ) then there is no "miracle/best" paste.

It merely acts to fill any unevenness between the IHS and the cooling block.

TIM has no cooling properties , it just transfers.

I've tried loads , and not one has given a "drop" in temps.

I'm not looking for a drop in temps; its just for a PC I'm building. Last time I used cheap as chips paste but I want to overclock this time so will probably get something alittle more conductive.

Yeah, I heard it can lock parts together aswell but I put it on a GPU block and it came off fine but left residue/marks behind. I tried to wipe it off but it didn't shift even with heat, sold the block and had no complaints though as I highly doubted it would cause problems
