HI guys

I have a 3770k @ 4.5 and i`m using Mx4 on it

I was thinking to change my thermal paste

I was looking for:

Tuniq Tx2 - Extreme

Tuniq Tx4

Gelid GC Extreme

Wich one you recommend? Other sugestion?

I will use with a H100 cooler

All the above pastes you mention are very good, your already using a pretty high end paste in mx4. The only conventional paste that might give you a further temp drop is ic diamond. It wont be a big drop tbh. The next level after that is coolaboratory liquid ultra/pro. Link to ultra below.

This stuff is on a whole different level from normal pastes. The cons are, it stains heatsink bases, and cpu surfaces. It is conductive, it is very different to apply than other pastes. It eats aluminium parts, not an issue as cooler bases arent made of aluminium. The pro is, it produces far better temps than any conventional paste could ever do.

Tha Ic Diamond stains the base too or not?

I bought a week ago the the Liquid Ultra, it will arrive next week, but just later i saw the stains that it makes and the way to apply

I`m a new in this world and i`m a little scared about using the Liquid Ultra, that`s why i`m thinking about the Ic diamond, a couple of guys told me about it

The Diamond is safe right? I mean, it won`t make the satins and the issues that i may have like using the Liquid ultra?

And the way to apply is the same as other pastes if i use the IC diamond? A small ammount in the middle and the H100 on top right?

Ic diamond doesnt stain a standard cpu heat spreader, the stain that liquid ultra/pro leaves can be cleaned of with a good metal polish cleaning solution. Application wise, ic diamond is different from liquid pro/ultra, and yes it's safer. With diamond, you put a small rice grain size amount of paste on the cpu. Then place the cooler on top. With liquid pro/ultra, you use a tiny amount of the paste, then spread it out from the centre of the cpu's ihs with a very small brush. And no need to apologise, your english is fine.:)

I`m just confised because a couple of guys is saying that IC diamond will erase the write in the CPU and mine is still in warranty, should this be a problem?

From my experience, applying IC diamond for the first time won't erase the ihs marking but would darken the ihs. Applying it for the 3rd or 4th time will erase the marking but it reduces the temp by 1-2C compared to MX-4.

Thanks, and the Gelid Extreme? Will erase is it a good one?

I saw good things about this one too, never heard before: Phobya HeGrease Extreme, better than Gelid Extreme?

Another vouch for liquid ultra here. I'll never use anything else. Stains? Good polish will get it off, probably take a while but worth a 10'c drop :)
 
It's not guaranteed but switching from AS5 to CLU Ultra before delidding my chip gave me a 10'c drop, when I delidded and used CLU under the IHS it took a further 25'c off.

AS5 I was hitting 95 with 4.7GHz Prime95, CLU delidded I can hit 4.8GHz 85'c (v1.44 stable)
