What's the best thermal paste to use on my overclocked i5 3570K to reduce the temps as it's been 3-4 years without changing and should I use the pea size method or alternative?

Thanks and have a nice Christmas! :)

TBF anything will do.

I have the EK stuff, XSPC stuff, MX-5, Phanteks. and there is about 1c difference in the stuff and that could just be down to room temp change.

buy whats in your budget.

^Good advice. The key thing is to use the correct amount, too much or too little will negatively impact cooling. Somewhere between the size of a BB pellet and a small pea works in my experience.

Out of these thermal paste, which one should I go for? Arctic Cooling MX-4, Arctic Silver 5, Noctua NT-H1 or Gelid GC Extreme as I will be trying to push the overclock with good temps

After applying thermal paste and reseating the cooler, should I run stress test software to let the thermal paste settle in? If so which software should I use?
