Has any one tried this with the corsair 140mm sp fans ?

Corsair fans are not as good as Thermalright TY-140, TY-141, TY-143, or TY-150 that come with, depending on which Silver Arrow you have .. or TY-147 either.

How come ? Mainly going for the look of the red leds

They don't flow as much air. They don't have as good static pressure. They are quieter. They last longer.

If you are going for looks, go for looks. If you want performance then don't worry about looks.
