Well I was just about to buy it http://www.thermaltake.com/product/cooler/retail/cl-p0114/cl-p0114.asp and I noticed there are a heat sink and a fan dimension separately. Do you add them both together to get the whole size of the thing? So it would be 240 x 242 x 127mm. I only have 140mm length from my CPU to my PSU and anymore then that and it would hit my case window. If you do add them, that would be massive.

Also is it measured Length by width by area?

Cheers
Sam

He said all, not most. I seriously doubt you could have any problem as the scythe ninja is the only cooler I can think of tall enough to cause problems and that fits in 98% of standard ATX cases.

Ok if it doesn't fit you owe me 10 quid :)

It has to comply with ATX specifications, otherwise it would not fit in 99% of the cases made in the last 8 years.

So as long as your case is able to comply with ATX completely it will fit just fine.

This is one of the reasons why we have form factors ;)

no, you dont add it up like that. the dimemsion with fan (120x120x25) + cooler (122x122x103) = 122x122x128 :) the fan fits on top of the cooler so you only add up the height ;)

fits in my case :D ... just as long as i put the rear fan on the outside

Fits in Mekrels PC7+ with the rear fan mounted internally, he is using a DFI board of some sorts, can not for the life of me remember which one :p

gaaaaaaaaaaah

I just spent 2 hours puting this on, haveing to tottaly strip the mobo and haveing to fit it in my medi case. Go to power up the comp all the fans turn on then turn off and then I get a beep and two little fast sirens and im sure it was post code 87. Everything is on properly and I tried clearing the cemos. You have to change the plastic cpu back plate to the metal one to get it on, and the bar on it gos over the pins / chips on the back of mobo. I am pretty sure that is shorting it out now, so I have to spend another 2-3 hours insulating it. The instructions are No swearing! and its a huge pain in the ass to fit it on. I personnally wouldn't buy it.

Excuse my spelling I am a little ****** off.

I'll excuse your language as well this time, pleas ebe careful in the future

If it fits in an ASUS PH-1 case then it should fit in just about anything!

Very quiet and VERY cool processor (P4 805 @ 4.6GHz = 51C under load)

And it's not really that much of a pig to fit, you just need patience. Lots of patience.

Well I took it all apart and used the rubber gasket and it worked so it was shorting it out. But I don't think it’s tightened properly as I got 51C under load with hardware all at stock. So it is not right yet, but it’s late and I am retiring for tonight. What does yours get on prime 95 on stock and does yours vibrate like **** and cause your side window fan to vibrate?

zalman 9500 for the win!

way too loud for a cooler!!! seriously if you think it's good you should get a TT BT with a 120mm L1a Panaflo, you'll struggle to hear it after owning the Zalman :p

My friend has the 9500 and on low speed it is very loud, compared to my XP120 + Panaflo L1a
