Does anyone here know anything on the Thermaltake Big Water? Its about £50 at competators, is it ok for a newbie like me?
I dont want to spend that much on a custom job. All i want is a CPU block and this seems to be alright.

Thanks

i will let u know in the next few days if ya can wait, ive got a bigwater coming for test, it will be going on a single core 3800 but will put it on my system....see spec to try it out first.

lets see how it likes fx60 dual core lol

ill start a full thread with pictures on it when it arrives(should be tuesday)

will also put the rad in a bucket of ice for a bit of benchmarking

Bigwater 745

I have the Bigwater 745 cooling an overclocked D805. The pump and the radiators seem very effective, though I am not too sure about the waterblock. It just does not seem to be able to get the heat away into the water. To be fair this is my first attempt at water cooling, os it might just be me, but I have tried reseating the water block using artic silver and also various different orientations of the water block, but temperatures will still climbt to over 50 degrees c when D805 is clocked at 4GHz. I am comparing it to the Arctic Freezer Pro, which acheved similar temperatures. The water leaving the block never gets above 35 degrees and the water entering is a room temp, approx 22 degrees, so I think perhaps the waterblock is perhaps at fault or possibly the processor or heat spreader. It would be interesting if anyone has any ideas. Other than that I can report that the Bigwater is very quest, even with the external twin 120 rad. Nice beginners kit, not sure about water block.
