Hey,

My trusty cheap thermometer decided it no longer wants to play which is a bit of pain when I've leaned on it so heavily recently!

Reading around the answer seems to be 'Thermapen' - are they really worth the asking price? Is the hype genuine? The old lasted ages but frequently needed new batteries and did take a while to come up with a temp!

Also which model? 3 seems like it would do the job nicely but the 4 with it's auto rotating display seems super handy....

Unless of course someone can offer up one I've not considered?

Thanks! :D

You should also check out ebay for the refurb Thermapens that are often available. Mine was a refurb and it was pretty much as new.

Thermapen is great, well worth it. It's so nice to be frying a bit of fish or chicken etc and be able to get it absolutely spot on.
