Hi,

I have an E7200 and wanting to overclock it. I have already done it a little (got it up to 3ghz) but I am wondering whether anyone here who is more knowledgable is able to look at the bios settings I am planning on using.

Now here I have turned off CPU enhanced halt, CPU thermal monitor 2 and CPU eist function. Is that the correct thing to do when overclocking? As I seem to remember reading somewhere it can reduce your overclock.

In this page does everything look normal? I noticed the DDR18V is showing 1.888V, is that normal? I am guessing that is my memorys voltage, now I read on OCZ's website that the memory I have can goto 2.1V all fine. Is it worth increasing 1.888V by 0.3V to bring it up to 2.188V?

Now in this one as you can see I still have it running at stock speeds. Though I have changed the system memory multiplyer down to 2.5. Am I correct in saying that means my memory is running at 665mhz now? As my memory is 800mhz stuff, I should alter the multiplyer to keep the memory below 800 whilst overclocking the fsb. Then when I have reached my max fsb then I can increase the memory multiplyer to get that running as fast as possible? Then after that I need to tighten the timings to get the maximum out of it too, but do I need to slacken them to overclock with? I am using a pair of OCZ platinum sticks.

This is the final image I promise. :o Here is it the CPU voltage control the only one I need to touch when upping the fsb? I know the DDR2 overvoltage control is for the memory. How much should I increase the voltage by each time? It seems to do them in 0.0125V incrememts as the smallest changes.

Finally what is a safe voltage to go up to on the E7200?

Many thanks for anyone who can help in anyway. I am just wanting to make sure I am doing it in the correct way. It is the first time I have had a CPU worth overclocking you see, the last one I had in a pc was an Athlon XP 2100+ palomino. :D

You can happily increase the dram voltage to 2.1 without much trouble, will definately help with stability too...

What cooling is on your cpu? You could probably hit 1.4v with the right cooling.
