These winter nights...

I love the whole atmosphere of Winter. Winter > Summer. Summer just brings on my hayfever. Total misery! :(

There's nothing like going for a walk in sunny but freezing cold weather. I also prefer the darkness at 4.30pm over 10pm anyday.

I'm a winter man. Can't wait for the darkness to set in as well as the snow :)
Cold, dark gloomy weather is what suits me just fine!

I have to admit I don't really like getting up and going to work in the dark just to come home in the dark too - I can often go a couple of weeks before seeing some kind of daylight :(

But I think all the seasons have their positives as well as their negatives! :p

Winter - cold and can get cozy
Summer - hot but can have restless nights.
 
Winter is great. Loads of interesting weather about instead of the boring drizzle of summer and a few sunny days. Also we've got Halloween, Guy Fawkes Night, Christmas and New Years to look forward to whereas in summer we've not got much.

Thats what makes it grim. It isn't hot and it isn't really cold and snowy. Just biting winds and rain i.e. grim.

Constant sub zero temperatures and snow would be much better.

I love it when it's crisp and refreshing outside, it's really good. I like the darker times and more interesting weather, the other night we had really deep fog here and I was just fascinated by how good it looked with the shining lights into the fog and was just walking around in it for hours. I prefer the cold and it's so good getting into bed and it being cold out. I prefer the more mysterious feel of winter, I can't explain it to people I know, but my closest friends know what I mean, don't know if I'm odd as most people look at me gone out when I try and explain.
 
One Slight flaw it's only Autumn currently ;)

Meteorologists believe winter starts beginning of December and runs until the end of February.

Tradition dictates that it starts on the First of November and ends with the spring Equinox in March
 
I like the colder weather, but could do without the shorter days - it's now dark when I leave the house in the morning and dark when I get back. :(

Still, it's nothing compared to Finland - went there at the start of this year and you hardly got any daylight at all, brightest it got was equivalent to twilight and it was just a teensie bit cold. :)
 
I love snow :D

Pitty we don't get any down here so I have to go home for the holidays just to see some real snow :p
 
My mother always said when a bloke goes out on the toon all he needs is a T-shirt & a pack of ciggies up his sleeve.

And his winter clothes was 2 packs of ciggies :)


Got to love the Geordie constitution tbh.
